MST-PSB is an evidence based model using the principles and treatment method of of MST and applying it to juveniles who are exhibiting problem sexual behavior with or with out other externalizing delinquent behaviors.
It is delivered in the family's home and community and is highly intensive often requiring three or more sessions per week. Treatment commonly incorporates intensive family therapy, parent training, cognitive-behavioral therapy, skills building, school and other community system interventions, and clarification work.
- Youth is 10-17 1/2 years old (if not justificaton is needed)
- Youth resides in a family setting with a caregiver
- Youth's caregiver is willing to participate
- Youth has active Medical Assistance or county authorization
- Youth is exhibiting a problem sexual behavior
- Outpatient services are not sufficient to meet the family's need

Exclusionary criteria include autism spectrum disorders and moderate to severe mental retardation as there is no evidence supporting that this model is effective with those populations.
